Peggy's Heart

My mother-in-law is a precious woman. She was admitted to the hospital over the weekend; diagnosed with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. My wife flew out Saturday morning to be with her. A heart cath on Monday revealed blockages in three different arteries--100%, 99% and 95%.

Nuclear Stress testing is next and then the doctors will determine the next course of action.

We take comfort in the fact that God is in control. He cares about, and cares for, His children--He even knows the number of hairs on your head.

"The king's (or queen's) heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He directs it wherever He pleases." (Proverbs 21:1)

If you are a praying person, please remember Peggy C. in your conversations with Father.

So sorry to hear about this, Jim, but at least it's been found and they can now do something about it. Since I'm workings in a surgical intensive care unit that recovers open heart surgeries, I see firsthand that people can and do make amazing comebacks. I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

Thanks, Caroline (156 or so days to go!). The right side of her heart is "dead" due to an earlier heart attack about 15 years ago. They haven't decided yet on angioplasty or by-pass on the aorta. Thanks for the encouraging words and positive thoughts.
